Eight Tips to Enjoy Jamming 
  1. Find a group you’re compatible with— by genre and ability level
  2. Keep a low profile when you first start out
  3. Don’t be nervous about making mistakes
  4. Listen to what others are doing
  5. Practice to a metronome—good rhythm is essential
  6. Jam on new songs by following the guitar players
  7. Practice good manners by taking turns and helping others
  8. Enjoy the social aspect of jamming
